Range Extent Comments
Throughout western North America; also distributed widely in Asia, Europe, and eastern North America (Hong 1980). This species is found in Greenland to Alaska, south to California and east to Colorado, Minnesota, Michigan, New York, New England to Quebec, and in the southern Appalachians; it is also in Europe and Asia (Stotler and Crandall-Stotler 2017).
