This species is widespread from Alaska to British Columbia and Alberta to Idaho and California, and in the east from Greenland to Newfoundland, Quebec, and Ontario, through New England and south to North Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia. It is widespread in both Europe and Japan (Stotler and Crandall-Stotler 2017).
